The Town Hall Lanes

is an old-school neighborhood bar and restaurant alongside a modern ten-lane bowling alley. We’re proud to feature our own Town Hall Brewery beer amongst an extensive tap list and full bar. If you’re in the mood for more than a drink, our broad menu of pub fare is anchored by our house-made flatbreads and half-pound burgers.

Whether you’re stopping by for a pint after work, or bringing the whole family for bowling on the weekend, we’re just happy to welcome you to our corner of the neighborhood.

History

At Town Hall, we like to balance innovation and exploration with an appreciation of history and those that came before us. That commitment is evident in our beers as well as in the places we serve them.

We began brewing beer in Minneapolis’ historic Seven Corners neighborhood in 1997, in a 1906 building once occupied by Dudley Riggs’ Experimental Theater Company. At that time, the total number of breweries in the state of Minnesota was fewer than twenty. With the support of a small but devoted group of Twin Cities craft beer lovers, we were able to keep the doors open through the early years.

In 2010, we expanded into South Minneapolis by opening the Town Hall Tap at 48th and Chicago. Minnesota state law prohibits us as a brewpub from distributing our beer to other bars or liquor stores, so the only option for expansion was to open another restaurant ourselves.

The success of the Town Hall Tap was fantastic, and after a couple years we were ready for a new challenge. The old Skylane Bowling location was the perfect match; great history, great neighborhood, and of course, bowling!

Town Hall Beer for Town Hall Lanes.

Our Brewery location near downtown Minneapolis is the hub of the operation, where we’ve been crafting great beer since 1997. And through hard work and a bit of luck, we’ve picked up quite a few awards for our efforts over the years. In fact, we’ve been awarded more medals at the Great American Beer Festival than any other Minnesota brewery.

We’re proud of all our accolades, but the best ones don’t come from a panel of judges – they come from our customers and friends. Our beers are brewed for real people and individual experiences. We’d love it if you took the time to get to know them for yourself.

Our brewers are constantly creating new seasonal and specialty beers, but you can always rely on our five signature beers — available year-round. They offer a wide variety of styles, from crisp German-style lager to silky coffee porter.

Signature Beers

beer name

Super Strike Light Lager

A blend of German and American styles, our signature Lanes lager offers the lower alcohol content of American session beers alongside the full flavor of German pilsners. Delicately hopped with American and Czech hops, this beer is exceptionally clean, crisp, and refreshing. 4.2% abv

beer name

West Bank Pale Ale

This American pale ale offers a light, smooth body that gives just enough balance to the distinct passion fruit and pine character of American Simcoe hops. Named for the West Bank Minneapolis neighborhood where our brewery is located, West Bank Pale Ale is our Give Back Beer. For every pint we sell, we make a donation to a local nonprofit organization. Each month, we partner with a different nonprofit. 4.8% abv

beer name

Masala Mama India Pale Ale

Our most popular beer, Masala Mama’s name comes from the Hindi word for spice. This American IPA is brewed with seven different hop varieties from the American Northwest. Four different hops are used in the brew kettle, and five are used during dry hopping. Although Masala Mama’s beautiful hop character hogs the spotlight, it is really set apart by its fine balance between bitter, aromatic hops and delicately sweet malt. 6.3% abv

beer name

Hope & King Scotch Ale

The rich flavors of this Scottish-style ale overlay a surprisingly clean body. This exceptionally smooth beer showcases the beauty of malted barley, as notes of caramel, toffee, and toasted chocolate rise from its mahogany depths. Hope & King has won gold, silver, and bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival. 5.8% abv

beer name

Parkway Java Porter

Cold-press Southern Grounds coffee blends beautifully with classic English-style porter in this one-of-a-kind beer. Expect earthy toffee, caramel, and cocoa flavors with a bit of balancing bitterness and acidity from the coffee beans. We serve this beer exclusively on nitrogen for a silky-smooth mouthfeel. 4.8% abv
